A Day Out With Thomas!

THOMAS! Whoo...Whoo....chugga, chugga, chugga!

Excitedly waiting for Thomas to stop so I could get on!

Cheezy grin for the camera.

My favorite train is Percy.

Playing with a cool Thomas train set.

I had SO much fun yesterday! My mommy and I went to see Thomas the Train! There was so much to do, but the best part was going for a 30 minute ride on Thomas! I met the conductor, sang songs, played games, looked out the window and generally enjoyed my time on the ride. Once we got back I got to play with some awesome train sets, watch some clowns, bounced in a bouncy castle, listen to a great kids band and pet some animals at the petting zoo. Needless to say I took a VERY long nap when I got home....what a great day!

Loving life and having FUN!

Relaxing at the Ranch

After exploring all over the ranch, I went on my first ATV ride (at around 2 miles/hr) and then had a chance to sit and relax with Grandma Betty, my mommy and my daddy. It was a beautiful day and I loved running around everywhere! I can't wait to get my own helmet and ATV...even though I kept saying "FASTER" no one would let me go faster on Betty's ATV. Bummer! Just wait until I get my own...

Random Farm Shots at the Lannen Ranch

I love horses!

I cannot wait to own my own horse, but in the meantime I had fun giving Smokey some hugs and kisses!

Bouncy Castle

I had SO much fun jumping in all of the bouncy castles around the park on July 4th. I think there were at least 12 of them and I'm pretty sure I jumped in most of them. You can hear me on this video screeching with delight and yelling out "I'm jumping!" Man was I tired at the end of the night....way too tired to watch the fireworks!

July 4th Celebrations

We had a VERY fun, but very busy day on July 4th. We went out to my Grandma Betty's who is a longtime Crick family friend. She has a huge ranch and great house in a beautiful place called Absarokee. Then after that, we went to this park where they had SOOOO many things for me to do. Thank goodness I had a long nap in the truck after leaving Betty's because I got to climb, jump, run, eat, get balloons and get my face painted. It was an awesome day and despite a few meltdowns here and there, I had a great time with my mommy and daddy.

A Tomboy at Heart

Taylor is growing up so fast...it's sometimes hard to believe that she will be 3 in October. She is a very physical little girl who loves anything to do with being outside. She LOVES to climb...the higher the better. She is not afraid of anything and is our little dare devil! We value her ability to seek out new adventures (maybe not when she's older), to try new things and develop all of these new skills. We are very thankful for a happy, healthy and active little girl!

Daddy's Surprise Birthday Party

My mommy did some careful planning and actually surprised my daddy with a party on May 30th to celebrate his 50th birthday. It went off without a hitch and there were
about 30 people there to share in the celebration and let him know what an amazing person he is. We love you daddy!

Our Crazy Lilac Bush

This is a snapshot of one of our 2 crazy bushes...they are so big and beautiful. Just to give you an idea of how tall they are, I am 3 1/2 feet tall....it seems like they could reach the sky from my perspective. By the way, I AM wearing a pull up, but it was really hot outside today so I was watering the bush and myself!

A Special Place

My daddy took my mommy and I to a very special place this weekend that we have never been to before. He took us to the cemetery where my Grandma Dotty is buried. She went to heaven in 1994. It seems like so long ago in some respects, but in others my daddy remembers all of the great memories. My mommy and I never got to meet her, but we have heard so many amazing stories about her that we feel like we know her. It is nice to know that she was a great lady...I think she would have spoiled me rotten!

Spring has Sprung

Everything is starting to bloom around here and it is so pretty. Today we woke up to the most wonderful smell floating in our backyard....my mom told me they were called lilacs. Well, I definitely LOVE lilacs. They are a pretty colour AND they smell great! I love springtime.

Dakota - My Dog

My dog Dakota went to doggie heaven this morning. He hasn't been feeling very well and last night he started having problems breathing. My mommy and I took him to the vet this morning and his temperature was 97 which is 3 degrees colder than what dog's should have. So after the vet did his checking and saw how sad and how hard it was for Dakota to breathe, he told my mommy that he was "shutting down" and that he should probably go to doggie heaven because of his age. He's 13 you know, and has had a great life.

Dakota blessed a lot of people and was a GREAT hunter. My Uncle Denny got Dakota for free when Dakota was about 3. Uncle Denny trained him really well and he was a great pet too. We got to have him for 2 years and he was very gentle with me and let me hug him a lot.

I got to say goodbye to him and gave him a hug at the vet's. My mommy cried a lot but she knew that it was the right thing to do.

We are really going to miss Dakota because he was a big part of our family.

Geese Galore

Going for a walk in the park.

Time to share my bread with my new Canadian friend.

One more friend...this is fun!

Here goosey, goosey...come and get your treat!

Big smile for the camera because I'm having a lot of fun!

When we went to the park, we decided to take some bread along and feed the geese and ducks. It was pretty darn cool because the geese were eating the bread right out of my hand! I had a lot of laughs and some great fun feeding these geese...hopefully I'll get to do this again soon.

I Got It!

My daddy taught me how to cast my imaginary fishing line, jiggle the line to show the fish that I'm there and ready to catch them and lo and behold "I got it"! No one told me that catching mud could be so fun! :o)

Daddy and Me

I love riding on my daddy's shoulders!

We make a great pair!

Learning to "fish"...

Trying it myself....

This past weekend my daddy, my mommy and I went to the park and had a really fun time! It was a beautiful day and there were lots of people out fishing. I figured that fishing would be fun, so my daddy showed me how to "cast" my line with a stick. My Grandpa Crick will be proud because he was an amazing fisherman and I think I would like to follow in his footsteps. Then my daddy put me on his shoulders so I could see the world from a different vantage point. Mostly it was fun because I could play with his baseball cap! I have so much fun with my daddy and look forward to our next playdate.
